Michael has been a firefighter and a medic, was a Division Captain in the fire service and now teaches high school as well as running Golden Age Charters. Michael holds a USCG 50 ton master's license and is dedicated to providing you with the best experience possible. As captain it is Michael's job to ensure your safety and to protect the waterways he calls home, both jobs that he happily performs. CONTACT

Jacob Sheffield, mate

Jacob serves as mate when his studies allow. A music major at Christopher Newport University, Jacob grew up at his father's side on boats in both Alaska and Virginia. When not studying or working for his dad Jacob is available to play with your band or for your event and also donates his time to play for military funerals.

Jack Massie, mate

Jack has been on the water for most of his life and is an avid fisherman, kayaker and paddle boarder. Jack spends as much time as he can outdoors and working aboard our boat but his main job is as a student at Shenandoah University where he plays football for the Hornets. Jack's strength, dedication and love of people make him a natural at helping passengers have fun on the Bay.

Emily Massie, mate

Emily is a proponent of all things outdoors. She loves to fish, kayak and canoe and brings her love for the outdoors with her when she boards. Emily is about to graduate from nursing school at Shenandoah University as an RN and will begin her career as a postpartum specialist this winter. Emily brings her caring nature and experience working with people of all abilities with her to her duties as mate. Her experience with other-abled children helps us ensure that everyone can enjoy all we have to offer, regardless of their needs.

Holly Sheffield, co-owner
